Oliver Brandenburg was born at 29.10.1980 in Brilon, Germany. Today he lives in a small town called Olsberg.

He began his creative work as an 20-years old guy by composing websites. Center of his work was mostly to design creative and clean-styled layouts. The time came when he became more and more dissatisfied, because his work gave him not any longer the freedom of art, he needed. So he came about painting to freestyle-photography.

Most of Oliver Brandenburgs works are showing his special warm to city-landscapes, people living there and coneptional work. The artist understands to show and focus the special of the apparent unspecially things, for example metro, fields and so on.

In his photos, he catches the moment, like things present themselves to him and this special angle of view he offers in his own art to the contemplator. The artist highlights the special out of the objects, without changing something on it. Exceptions he makes only by photographing models. His point of view is, that the mix of composing and what is real, is essential.

Game of colours, light and motive is his characteristic. Cause of this and the sure method of contrast-changes, his works will get a special energetic expression, which you can find in his art and later at the exhibition wall.

The artist doesn't see any need to place the motive. More important as the motive is to give images the chance to compose itself. This happens by giving the picture enough time, to become the image you can find later in his portfolio.
